Bishop Bridgeman CE Primary School wanted to create a memorable keepsake that celebrated each child’s journey through primary school while encouraging pupils to make the most of every opportunity along the way.
The aim was to produce a beautifully designed booklet featuring a collection of experiences, achievements and milestones for pupils to complete before moving on to secondary school. More than just a checklist, the booklet would celebrate learning, personal development, school values and the unique experiences that make primary school such an important stage of childhood.
Working closely with the school, we designed a bespoke ‘100 Things to Do Before You Leave Primary School’ booklet that reflected both the curriculum and the school’s Christian ethos.
The booklet combined a wide range of activities and achievements, from educational milestones such as learning to tell the time and swimming 50 metres unaided, through to memorable experiences including visiting the zoo, taking part in school trips and performing in front of an audience.
Alongside these were activities designed to reinforce the school’s values, encouraging pupils to show kindness, help others, care for the environment and demonstrate responsibility. As a Church of England school, the booklet also included opportunities linked to Christian values, such as fundraising for charity, exploring different places of worship and taking part in activities that supported the school’s wider ethos.
Designed as an engaging, child-friendly publication, the booklet encourages pupils to tick off achievements throughout their time at school, creating a lasting record of their primary school journey.

The finished booklet provides pupils with a meaningful keepsake that celebrates far more than academic achievement.
By bringing together learning, enrichment, personal development and school values into one engaging publication, the project encourages children to embrace every aspect of school life while giving families a lasting reminder of their child’s primary school experience.
The concept is fully bespoke and can be tailored to reflect the curriculum, values and ethos of any primary school, making it a unique and memorable addition to wider school communications.
